My issue with DC comes with soliciting two titles for Guillem March as the artist. Now it is possible that he could be doing two books, but some how I doubt will given he did not pull it off a couple of months ago when with Batman and Gotham City Siren. It seems like DC is playing a little fast and loose with the creative listings on these titles.

Why no interest in the OGN for Superman, Bob? I'm behind it if they're able to stick to their one-and-done idea behind it. If it turns out to be a trade that I have to buy the next one of, etc...then maybe not so much. I'd be interested in hearing your rationale behind it.

Doesn't matter. My $$ is gone on that Adam Hughes Supergirl statue. :)

I'm totally sick of people "re-imagining" existing characters, ESPECIALLY the big ones like Batman & Superman. PLUS, doing this as a line of $20 HCs is just money-grubbing.

If I want to read a "different take" on the super-hero genre, I'll buy an Indie book that offers one.

But that's just me.

Bleeding Cool has found out that DC has gone back to raise the price on already solicited titles.

Yesterday, Bleeding Cool reported that DC were upping the prices of the second issues of a couple of standard-sized DCU titles to $3.99, Mighty Crusaders and Time Masters, as well as the first issue of Emerald Warriors, as well as upping the Vertigo standard-sized title American Vampire to $3.99 as well.

I now understand that the first standard-sized issues of Mighty Crusaders and Time Masters shipping in July will now also be priced at $3.99, as well as the first issue of Wildstorm title Welcome To Tranquility: One Foot In The Grave

Retroactively jacking up prices is a really crappy maneuver......

And something I am COMPLETELY uninterested in.....
AMEN!
I expect the JMS take on Superman to be brutally slow and redundant.

I mean I understand the idea - putting a big name(?) Hollywood guy on Superman, but given his sloppy track record (Some of Spider-man was good. The Twelve had moments. Thor was just long and boring...) I'm not sure I think this is gonna work out like DC is hoping.
