Comic Book Store Business Cards

Last week I took a cruise with my family from Boston up through the coast of Maine and Canada. On the trip I lucked into two comic book stores. (My sister managed to find both of them.) I picked up business cards from each of them:

The Local NPC:

This was a nice small shop in Sydney, Canada but was more of a gaming shop than what I'd consider a full blown comic book shop.

Casablanca Comics:

This was a decent size store in Portland, Maine with a nice, clean layout and good selection of comics including some back issues. This struck me as the kind of shop I'd be comfortable having a pull list at.

I thought it might be fun to start a collection of comic book store business cards. But to do so, I'll need help since I don't travel that much these days. Any chance you all might be willing to pick up a business card from your local comic book shops and send them my way?

And does anybody know of a good but inexpensive business card scanner?

Drawn to Comics is mainly a comic shop with some toys, t-shirts, etc. The owners are awesome. It is just outside Phoenix in Glendale (about 3-4 miles from where the Cardinals play). I visit a few others, which I will post when I get their cards.

By the way, I will be in Vegas soon. Anyone know of a comic shop I should visit? Post the business card if possible.

My team at work did an offsite lunch which turned out to be next door to the Dragon's Lair so I ducked in there afterwards and grabbed a business card. The new location in Austin is HUGE.

The Dragon's Lair card is double sided with the information for the San Antonio location on this other side:

Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to go down the street a few blocks to pick up a card from Capstone Comics. As soon as I have time to get over to that part of town, I'll pick up a card from there and Austin Books which is in the same basic area. I also need to swing by Tribe Comics which I haven't done in far too long.

Jesse James Comics is currently expanding and it will be huge - toy section, gaming section, and comics everywhere. I usually shop on their ebay store and pick up the items. This place is an another great shop in Glendale, AZ.

Just got back from Vegas and I visited Alternative Reality Comics. It is a nice comic shop. Owner was pleasantly engaging. What I liked was how the comics were organized on the rack. Major space was set aside for all the main titles. If you're a Batman fan, then you would head over to the Batman rack - same with Spiderman, X-titles, etc. Each rack has the monthly titles, tpbs, non-comic items, etc

Samurai Comics is an another great store to visit in Phoenix. Good selection of current comics (very few back issues) and trades and a knowledgeable staff. They also host rpg and other games. I usually swing by the store in western Phoenix.

I haven't been to a different comic shop for awhile but I saw this today and thought it fits this thread.

I used to work at the Dragon's Lair in Austin ages ago. I've been to the Silver Snail in Toronto.

I think the best logo is probably Geoffrey’s Comics. It is an easy to read logo which clearly indicates the shop is a comic book shop. I can see passing by many of the other logos without realizing they were comic book shops.

FYI, I'll be at the following conventions:

Capital City Comic Con in Austin, Texas on July 12th and 13th
Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 23rd to 27th
Wizard World San Antonio on August 2nd (hopefully)
Fan Expo in Toronto on August 28th to 31st

If you are planning on going to any of those conventions, I'd appreciate it if you could pick up business cards from your local comic shops and give them to me at the convention.

My goal with this is to build up a library of information about the various local comic book shops across the nation. Obviously I can't do this alone and any help you all can provide would be appreciated.
