wanted to tell you I have enjoyed listening to your take on comics and the industry over the last year since I have been listening to you and John-you have turned me on to some great books and steered me away from some duds.

I haven't posted here much but I have not missed a Comic Book Page podcast for years now. It's the first podcast I listen to as soon as it comes out.

Thank you very much for all of your excellent reviews and comic book commentary, Bob.

I want to echo everyone's thoughts about Bob leaving the podcast and say thanks to Bob for so many great years. I always appreciated the amount of time and effort that Bob (and John) put in on a weekly basis for the show.

I'd like to publicly acknowledge my appreciation of the listeners & people who post to the forums.

I'd also like to acknowledge John, who has always put in a tremendous amount of effort editing all the episodes, posting them up for consumption, and LOTS of other behind the scenes work that often goes unrecognized.

Without John, there would be no ComicBookPage, and I look forward to John continuing it on into the future.

I too wanted to thank Bob for a LOT of years (and countless hours) of great entertainment. It was more than a little awkward to hear the Episode 300 "sign off"...I couldn't fathom doing the show with someone for all these years and no giving him a more heartfelt and meaningful sign off, but that's a story for another day.

All I know is the show may be ready to go on, but it's certainly going to be next to impossible to replace all that Bob brought to the table. Good luck to whoever tries to fill his shoes.

Hey Bob, I just wanted to take a minute and email a message to you of how much I enjoyed your contributions to Comicbook Page podcasts (and numerous other industry comic podcast appearances as well).

I started collecting floppies after again after the Identity Crisis series. I enjoy a good mystery. When DC kicked in the cross-line build up to Infinite Crisis, I couldn't get enough story during the month. I found and started listening to Comicbookpage podcasts and felt I'd found a kindred spirit and voice when you related your love for DC's past - particularly the JLA. After that, I can remember buying more and more comics to satify the habit. I went from a handful of comic to about 30 comics a month at one point.

I found you and John's discussions about plot points and story line possibilities fascinating. Not only that, the monthly sales podcast answered a lot of questions I had on my mind about the industry business' "brass tacks" about publishing. However I have to tell you.... the *best* portion of those podcasts back then were about your own monthly comic orders and the elements of the stories that drove your buying preferences. Bob, you had perspectives on DC continuity much like my own. I appreciated your points of view when you made them. When you didn't enjoy a plot point, you were rational and told us why - unlike most of today's prolific, reactionary "DC bashers" abound in some forums and media.

I assume you to be a bit disillusioned by the post-Flashpoint era that is upon us. It's heartbreaking to see a long-time, loyal DC fan lose their passion for the DC pantheon of characters. I'm not sure of the "why" behind your pending sabbatical from the podcast (and comics?), but here's to your contributions to the show and hoping that your DC interest/fascination rekindles itself and returns very soon.

As one of the tacit comic fans (yeah, yeah of the DC variety) out in the 'ether of the internet', I can tell you that your voice will be missed.
