Marvel Unlimited - App for iOS

I'm sure most of you are aware, but yesterday Marvel released the Marvel Unlimited App for iOS tablets and devices. It's a free download and ties into your Marvel.com account if you're registered with them.

As a longtime user of the MDCU, my only real gripe was the lack of portability. Sure, I'll read digital comics, but I was locked into my computer screen. Then there was the whole Apple not using Flash which prevented Marvel from bringing things to tablets readily from a few years back.

I downloaded the app and no sooner had I logged in than my stack of unread issues showed up. The reading system itself is pretty cool - you can "store" six issues in your queue for offline reading (ie you're not near a wifi hotspot) - but you can pretty much read anything they have anytime you want. I'm spoiled by being used to swiping my finger to turn a page as in other readers (with this you click a next arrow) but it's hardly a deal breaker. The pages look good and you can't be that much content.

And now I can carry that whole library around with me.

I don't have an iOS device, so not relevant to me. Hopefully a boon for the zillions of Apple faithful.
