Superior shipping schedule boggles

Post by Gilgabob »

So Superior #4 came out in March and then there is nothing until the October solicits come out and WHAM!, we have Superior double shipping issues 5 & 6 and they are 40 pages?!!

Don't get me wrong, 40 pages for $2.99 on a book I like is fine and dandy I'm just not getting how you have nothing for 8 months and then presto, 80 new pages. Weird.

Without checking to make sure, I think it had something to do with the artist having obligations to work on other stuff. I know that's happened with other books like Infinite Vacation, Nick Spencer said his Marvel work has really delayed that book [if I remember correctly], though I'd think writing a script for a mini-series you should already have an outline too wouldn't take TOO much time, but who knows.

I checked out on this book a while ago due to the ridiculous delays. I have also checked out on Kick (bleep) 2 for the same reason above, and also because the book seemed to take place in movie continuity as appose to taking place during the continuity established in the first volume of the comic.

There have been 3 issues, dated as follows:

1: July 2008
2: Sept 2008
3: Oct 2009

So we last saw the series 2 years ago.
