Just when I thought they couldn't make Iron Man's armor any uglier than the 90's, Marvel proves me wrong:

It reminds me of live-action Japanese power-armor stuff like Guyver or Power Rangers.

I can see the Guyver influence but I'm not really seeing the Power Rangers aspect.

It was more that they were both in the power-suit-wearing-but-otherwise-normal-people genre. I feel like the new Iron Man suit is heavily influenced by Japanese designs and those were the only two I could come up with. And, you know, Power Rangers. I loved that show.

Amazing Spider-Man #698
I had a "Hassan reading Invincible #97" moment just now when I read this book. I'm glad I decided to drop the title after #700.

For me this "twist" ranks right up with "Hey, the Spider-Man you been reading about for years is really the clone."

Terrible.

I am definitely NOT the core audience for Marvel NOW. I'm too Marvel THEN.

I picked up The Incredible Hulk #11 by Jason Aaron for $1.....

City of the Sasquatches???? Really? I can hardly believe the same guy wrote this who wrote Scalped. I'd like my $1 back.

Please Mark Waid! Marvel NOW cannot come quickly enough.

It amazes me too that it's the same Jason Aaron that does Scalped and superhero comics. Scalped is one of the best comics of recent memory - and his superhero stuff is totally hit or miss.

I have the same problem with Jason Aaron. His super-hero books are mostly miss for me. I don't think they lack logic and too campy. I dropped Wolverine because he had Sablretooth getting around with a jet pack.

I thought it was interesting but I am worried about what the new title will be about. I don't think it is as clever as people think he was because there was a bit of a cheat in the reveal and this has been done before (Clone Saga).

Yes it was. He had to get him from point A to point B fast and therefore he used a jetpack. Ridiculous. When I read his books, I feel no attachment to the characters. I need some attachment in order for me to be engage in the book.

That's exactly my feeling - the campiness factor - I dropped the Wolverine & XMen book after 2 or 3 issues for exactly that reason.

I see that this month's solicitations has a TPB collection of Hawkeye #1-5, plus Young Avengers Presents #6, featuring the Kate Bishop Hawkeye by Fraction & Alan Davis. Anyone read this story? is it on par w/the stuff that's been appearing in Hawkeye?

btw: I HIGHLY recommend the Hawkeye series, and if you haven't read it, this TPB is a perfect chance to jump in!

Luckily, I think this will be a 'nothing' mini, as it was suppose to come out so long ago. Hard to tie anything into current stories when the story you are telling is 2 years old.

Not sure what the 'spin' here is, but I also think this is too soon for the Peter return, and I am one that thinks they already have a set time to do it. Who knows? It is Slott and I am not falling for his siren song lure again!!!
