No, you aren't. I had a feeling it was a Romita cover and not a Ditko cover but wasn't 100% positive. The artist on the other hand presumably knew exactly which cover he was doing an "homage" to and should have known better.

Don't worry about it. I knew off the top of my head because the original is one of my top favorite covers of all time.
As John points out, the artist should have known who he was "paying homage to"
AND some editor should have certainly known and had this corrected before the image ever saw the light of day.

I've heard that the "corrected" version of Mighty Avengers #21 wasn't corrected at all. Does anyone have a copy to verify?
