I got cured of dragging single comics to the drink & swap a couple of years ago. Too many people turned their noses up at the comics. If it's not "gold" there was a general lack of interest. I'll bring some trades & such to the drink & swap. Much easier to deal with.

I suddenly have a lot more empathy for you and John. I am unorganized but you two would always comment how terrible all the naming changes/reboots were for comics.

I will bring a short stack for you on Wondercon but I can't guarantee that you don't have some of them. I think they are unique to your database but with all the naming tricks it is a little crazy. If they are dupes, you can just give them away. I imagine if I had the bar code thing going that would prove easier but I am just running name searches.

P.S. Do you want other covers as well? I see for one book you have Cover B and C but I have Cover A.

This is what it would look like if Bob moved I guess:

:)

Think about what your grand total would be if you didn't start that strict #1 policy.

Just out of curiosity, what are your runs on Batman and Detective Comics?

I had a separate moving truck full of comics last time I moved..... I'm guessing Larry has a lot of duplicate copies of 1990s Image & Marvel comics in there.....

Batman: Most everything back to #169 (missing 5 random comics above that)
Detective: Back to #325

I have a handful of comics earlier than those numbers on each title.

I found out about a week ago that my Mom (who is 85) has terminal cancer.

We went to visit this week & while she was not looking good, we did get to visit with her for several days. Near the end of the visit we ended up having to put her in a hospice & it's expected she will pass within a week or 2.

As a result, I'm going to push my Comics viewing event out by one month to Sat May 18th.

I'm sorry to hear that, Bob. My thoughts are with you, your family, and mom.

It is a rough time but hospice is great during this time and can also proved grieving classes when the time comes.

My Mom passed away this morning, the funeral will be later this week (likely Friday).

I'm glad that we were able to visit last week & see her while she was still lucid. We had to move her from home to a hospice on Thursday. After 1 day in hospice she was moved from assistance to medical status and then was unresponsive/unconscious on Sunday.

The time we spent with her last week was precious, we were just in time to be there for her when it made a difference. We talked, went through picture albums, took her out for walks (in her wheelchair) & made several meals that were her favorites.

Thanks to everyone here for all your wishes of support & condolence.
