Hi Bob, I see that you ordered Bowen busts ... but I don't see them on Diamond Previews. Does this mean that Diamond don't carry Bowen statues?

TOMB OF DRACULA OMNIBUS HC VOL 02
Although I like reading thriller/horror stories, I'm not a fan of Dracula so I took this book for granted until I saw it on Bob's list and finally decided to give TOD Omnibus 1 a try ... and I wasn't disappointed! I'm on issue 4 now and lovin' it
I'm still not a fan of Dracula, but rather a fan of Dracula/Vampire hunters! ... yeah, just like Buffy

I like everyone's lists. I didnt see anyone mention Don Bluth's Space Ace mini done by Kirkman. I watched Space Ace when i was a kid so I'm on board for this one. I'm a sucker for animated properties done in comic form.

I've always wanted to get at least Marvel Essentials on their horror stuff from the 70's. I heard ToD was amazing but I didnt know there were vampire hunters in it. I think Werewolf by Night is in it too. I know i need to get this stuff. I really can't afford the Omnibus books of ToD, so do you think it would look alright in black and white form in an Essential?

It's really hard to identify with the Lord of the Vampires, who goes around killing people (well, I HOPE it's hard to identify with him). So, ToD focused on a group of Vampire Hunters who were after him, including Quincy Harker, Rachel Van Helsing, and Frank Drake (Drake being an anglicized Dracul, he is a descendant of Dracula). This is also the series that introduced Blade.

Gene Colans art looks GREAT in B&W. The ToD Essentials are Highly Recommended.

I'm dropping Uncanny X-men because I don't think it's worth the jump to $3.99. I'm trying out Cable and Legacy as alternatives and they're both 50% off.
Anyone else have other suggestions for an alternative to a 3.99 Uncanny X-Men?

I'd suggest X-Factor. Best X-book out there, for my money. Also, tends not to be steeped in "X-Lore", so can usually be read without feeling lost. I say this as a guy who is generally not into the X-Universe.

HipHopHead. I am curious as to why you might drop ASM after issue 600. Could you share?

It is not etched in stone, but my financial obligations will be the final determination. Issue 600 may be an excellent jumping off point. If ASM was a single monthly title at $2.99, it would not be a consideration, but it would cost me $8.97 (cover) to maintain the title. Since it is a Marvel title, it is just a matter of time before it becomes $3.99.

Understandable. I was just hoping it wasn't story related. I to will be making some cuts coming up but will have to stick with ASM. Hopefully it wont go to $3.99 and if it does then I might have to drop it and just start reading a friends copy. I think they are telling really great stories and I am excited to see Mary Jane come back.
P.S. I recently read the first 50 issues of ASM and once again how they saw Mary Jane in that comic and thought that Kirstin Dunst could pull that off is rediculous.
