Just backed this one..... 180 page HC + PDF + a song for $30.
Book is complete, just needs to be printed, so not likely to be massively delayed like some kickstarters.

I think it might also be helpful/fun to show/talk about what we got back from out Kickstarters when they deliver. Thus far, I'm batting 1000 on being more than happy with what I got.
Most recent for me was Sullivans Sluggers. He wasn't lying when he said this would be a massive tome. It doesn't fit on my bookshelf! Very nice high quality slipcase and the artwork looks really cool.

That really is a beautiful volume. I was very pleased when I opened it for a quick peak. I'm going to have to read it when I get back in town.

This is a book that illustrates how digital will have a hard time completely replacing print. I got the PDF for this months ago & it PALES compare to this beautiful over-sized tome.
Certain comics can work really well in digital, but when you "go big" there's a problem seeing that properly on most digital viewing devices.

I'm still awaiting my Sullivan's Sluggers. No notice of shipment yet. I'm sure I'll get it soon enough.

Here's one from the Conceptual Art section by current Marvel artist Steven Sanders. While the IP is free-to-use on Creative Commons, it seems this art-book will have a recurring character running through it. This is the type of sci-fi comic art I really like.

This one is in its final hours. Hate the GBP exchange rate but if this pays off like it promises to, it's gonna be one sweet book...

I saw this one a few weeks ago but the cost + shipping caused me to give it a pass......

I was right up to the end before kicking in my money (just for the book) - it's probably got the worst ROI for what I paid, but I love the concept and how they marketed themselves on the page. If they can live up to the hype they've created, it should still be a really great (albeit expensive) book.

Went a little kickstarter crazy today:
The Tomorrow Girl is a collection of the first five years of Dresden Codak, a comic series by Aaron Diaz.
What is Dresden Codak?
Dresden Codak is a lavishly illustrated creator-owned online comic series about science, mystery and ghosts that began in 2005.

A bit pricey, but "Oh so pretty!". I've been on the fence for this one for weeks and pulled the trigger as we reach the final couple of days.

Another I had been on the fence about. When it crossed $22k the TP was upgraded to a HC at the $25 level, & I'm in for that.
Runners is a fun sci-fi action comedy about a crew of alien smugglers led by reluctant captain Roka Nostaco and his acerbic co-pilot Ril Mar. They're joined by two pirates, six-eyed sharpshooter and wisecracker Cember Koji and former mob enforcer Bennesaud. There's also a humanoid named Bocce, who has a weird, shape-shifting arm, and a blue-skinned alien girl named Sky, who has some mysterious abilities of her own. The series follows their exploits as they struggle to complete hazardous intergalactic runs while constantly hounded by pirates, bounty hunters, police, and the occasional conscience.
"Runners is the best science fiction adventure I have read in years. It has wonderfully fleshed out characters, a terrific story, and great action sequences." --Stan Sakai; Usagi Yojimbo

This is a really ridiculous Kickstarter by Bill Willingham & Frank Cho. The award levels are beyond absurd. Cheapest level to get an actual copy of the novel is $125, and that's just a signed copy that won't ship until May 2015!
It is just ludicrous that these pros need to stoop to this level of organized begging.
They couldn't manage to toss out some decent tangible rewards (like maybe Frank Cho art prints) at much lower levels????
I'll pass......

They should rename their kickstarter to what it actually is:
"We're famous comic book creators... send us money."
