Jeremy says Diamond never paid them for #2 & they won't ship #3 until they get paid. He says to order via Haven. Talked to Zack Kruse & he talked to Jeremy....... DCBS is going to try to work this out & get the books somehow other than Diamond.atomic99 wrote: I'll have to look for Jeremy Bastian. Another great day, though the show floor was "San Diego level crowded". You could barely move in the aisles today......
Hopefully tomorrow (being not only Sunday, but Easter Sunday) should be less crowded & maybe I'll be able to score some deals.
Panels
* Murphy Anderson
* Amanda Connor / Jimmy Palmiotti
-Amanda is just burned out doing a monthly book, which is why she's leaving Power Girl after 12 issues. She'll be doing covers, some one shots, as well as some creator owned stuff.
- After the next year (which already has artists planned out) Amanda will do an issue of Jonah Hex!
Sketches
* Hammerhead by Justin Greenwood
* Man-Wolf by Dave Dwonch
* Red Sonja by Tim Vigil
Bought
* Kubert Sketchbook (Joe/Andy/Adam) autographed by Joe
* Usagi Yojimbo Statue (limited to 350, thanks for showing me this booth to Chris Gallo)
* Nocturnals Alphabet (OOP HC)
Talked to Pros
* Joe Kubert

Your directions were good, Bob. I talked to Jeremy too and bought #2 & #3. I won't cancel my order though. He moved some stuff around on the table and found about 3-4 more of the Nocturals Alphabet books so I bought one.
Crazy day. Yes, this is getting to be like San Diego. I'm sure, if I went Sunday, it will drop back down. Even the level of cosplay jumped up this year. And yes Bob, more pictures of Zatanna to post!!
I showed up an hour early for the Doctor Who presentation and they said the room was already full. WTF?? San Diego all over again. So I had to kill 3 hours before the Masquerade. Then I ran into Trevor who showed up later than me and got in because they cleared the room and then suddenly had more room. Ugh.
Total for parking for two days: $60. That is like three days of parking in San Diego.

I had a great Con, much more mellow than last year. It was good to see everyone Friday night at dinner, that was one of the highlights.
It doesn't seem like I bought a lot of stuff, but somehow I spent a ton of money. I guess I have a decent stack of trades and hardcovers, I bought a dozen or so back issues, mostly low grade stuff for my Green Lantern and Doctor Solar runs. The only decent back issue I bought was Conan 24, second appearance (and first cover appearance) of Red Sonja. Great Barry Windsor-Smith cover.
It was great to run in to folks throughout the days, to chat for a few minutes. Good times!

Good to hear. I only received #1 from DCBS (2 got canceled, and I don't remember about 3) and I haven't run across Jeremy at a con since then to pick the rest up. Sux when such a good series is so hard to get... if people who are seeking it out can't get it, what hope is there? Hopefully someone puts out a nice oversized HC with good distribution at some point so I can sit and stare at the art for hours.BobBretall wrote:Jeremy says Diamond never paid them for #2 & they won't ship #3 until they get paid. Oh, and thanks for the coverage -- getting me psyched for C2E2!
