Re: My current "to read" list...
I'm so glad to see that I'm not alone in this. I haven't alphabetized my list, but I have a Rubbermaid container and a drawer box full of "on-deck" books!

I feel it as well. I am about 8-10 long boxes behind in current stuff and back issues. I am at the point where I don't think I can catch up but I can't stop. Man I need help.

I'm so far behind on my back issues and trades it isn't even funny. I've got an entire short box of just the Wildstorm reboot waiting to be read plus another four Drawer Boxes of back issues and stacks and stacks of trades.comicm wrote:I feel it as well. The problem I'm having is that the backlog of new issues means that instead of only having to read three or four comics for an episode of the Weekly Comics Spotlight I'm having to read about a dozen. And while I enjoy reading them all, I also like to sleep on occasion...
Wow. Just wow. I thought I was behind.
Between family vacation, work, and other interests, I have been so behind of my reading as well that I have 75% of short box filled with comics to read. I actually have given up on catching up until the summer when things should slow down for me.
Besides reading the comics for the show, how do you decide what to read next? I put my favorites throughout the box so I don't read all the best comics firsts and I put anything Countdown related toward the back, trying to delay the eventual disappointment

Re: My current "to read" list...
I read the following items this morning for the Weekly Comics Spotlight:
Bushi Tales #1, #2 and #3.
Countdown to Adventure #7 and #8.
Mighty Avengers #10 and #11.
Star Trek: New Frontier #1.
That is 8 down, 185 to go...

I think a sign that you are a true Comic Book Fan is that no matter of how much unread material that you have, you still continue to buy moreWood wrote:UGH...I have 7 long boxes of unread back issues and 20 trades right now to be read; that's on top of two short boxes full of current stuff.
YIKES
I probably have 30 trades that I haven't read, half of which are Omnibus/Absolute or Showcases/ Essentials, but I continue to buy more.
I'm massively behind on that too. I have at least 2,518 to file plus the 1,092 in the various "to read" groups.Skyhawke wrote:What I am following behind is bagging my books and putting them away. I have this stack sitting on my desk that I want to go through and make sure people entered into Comicbookdb.com before I bag them.
Even worse, I think I've gotten to the point that I'll have to double check the inventory before putting the backlog into the Drawer Boxes. I'm starting to suspect that at least one week worth of comic didn't make it into the inventory and I know that at least two or three shipments of back issues haven't been inventoried.
For that matter, my entire process of tracking my comics is the most disorganized it has been in about a decade. I haven't had the time over the past few months to update my "on order" list to prepare the data for moving into the inventory file. I'm having to do that before I can process the shipment I got this week. And some of this is the data I use to generate the image for the next Weekly Comics Spotlight episode. So, I have to find the time to update the file before the end of the weekend.
