Can someone who is reading either All-New Wolverine or Squadron Supreme justify paying $5 for a single issue of it? A new reader would very likely scoff at those prices. Especially if every issue isn't a one-and-done. Are they oversized? Square bound? Anthologies? Do you get two digital codes?

Just really a comment on some Rebirth titles by DC.

I'm really loving the Superman book by Tomasi and Gleason. The art is killer on that book.

Aquaman is a ton of fun in my opinion. Well done by Abnett and company.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. What can I say? Van Sciver killed it on the art.
The story was well done too. Felt a bit like GL Rebirth with Johns back in the day.

Nightwing was okay to me. I liked seeing Dick Grayson talk about his history though.

The regular price is 3,99, this weeks wolverine and the squadron are oversized. Not that I knew beforehand, theyre on my list and as long as i like the ill keep them there. As for a one-and-done story I dont think so but it might be a extra sized finale on the ongoing storylines.

Also prices on individual issues isnt a very important factor when deciding what to read. Its mostly about character, story, creators... If the pricing was 4,99 across the line Id have to make harsher cuts but even so Wolverine would probably still be on it.

Thanks NiklasJ. Was wondering who might chime in. Some people have drawn the line on paying $5 for comics. I suppose it's all relative to your preference. I just don't like doing it for any title.

Now don't ask me about Wonder Woman '77....

Black Hammer #1 (Dark Horse) - Read it and enjoyed it. I'll be back for issue two.
Weird Detective #2 (Dark Horse) - Good mini series so far. I'm in.
Usagi Yojimbo #156 (Dark Horse)
BPRD #143 (Dark Horse)
New Suicide Squad #22 (DC) - Ordered all the DC Rebirth bundles from DCBS, still have to pick up a few of the stragglers.
The Hunt #1 (Image) - Liked it. I'll buy number two.
Black Road #4 (Image) - Time to determine if I'm in or out on this series.
Lazarus #23 (Image)
Throwaways #1 (Image) - Picked this up after listening to the recent weekly spotlight. It was all right and I will probably stick around a few more issues to see what develops.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #5 (Boom) - This series continues to be leaps and bounds over my expectations.
Street Fighter Unlimited #8 (Udon)
Betty and Veronica #1 (Archie) - Haven't read it yet but I glanced at it and this is a very wordy book.
Thunderbolts #3 (Marvel) - I read Marvel Unlimited for almost all of their titles but I'm still trying to decide how I feel about this new Thunderbolts so I've ended up buying these first three the old fashioned way.

So ive read them now.

Wolverine has a really good central story, the extra pages are a kind of CWII-frame that will continue with the next issue of Wolverine, so all in all im very happy with this issue.

Squadron supreme didnt have quite the same quality story, but had a very character focused and extra-sized issue.

Overall I like the titles being self-contained, lots of guest appearances from all around marvel but still you only need to read one title to get the story.

Simple answer, I would say average to slightly bellow average on both.
Justice League #1
The Story is average at best, not special but not terrible
The Art is OK but certainly not Tony Daniel’s best and a few panels/page are especially rough
I was a little behind with some travel and things so I read Justice League Rebirth and Justice League #1 back-to-back. This reading experience clearly colored my view of both books. I'll be back for a few more issues but this title is already way down my list for DC so far.
For Justice League Rebirth and Justice League #1
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
It is clear in both issues that the storyteller has no clue of the stories timeline. A few examples in Rebirth the Green Lanterns are leaving China talking about three large quakes and how this the first time they are being called upon by the Justice League. In #1 they are clearly part of the Justice League communicating with the team and in China helping with Earthquakes. In Rebirth Superman is at home out of costume discussing if he should help or wants to be part of the Justice League before coming and saving the day. In Justice League #1 he is in costume helping out but clearly doesn’t know and isn’t communicating with the rest of the Justice League. If Justice League #1 takes place before Justice League Rebirth as these two things point too, I don’t buy that Arthur abandoned a sinking and crumbling Atlantis to play giant cockroach exterminator. Maybe if you read them a couple of weeks apart you wouldn’t notice but for me who read the issues back-to-back this really took me out of the story and it makes you feel like the story telling either doesn’t care or has no clue to the story he is trying to tell.
Hellblazer Rebirth
I'll start by saying I'm not a huge Hellblazer fan and haven't read many of John Constantine's adventures. The prologue really bothered me, it served very little purpose story-wise and just was an excuse for the writer to inject his political views. That kind stuff is always unnecessary and always turns me off to a book. I stopped reading much Marvel for that reason five or so years back. The art wasn't to my style but definitely acceptable. There are however a few pages in the middle where three other heroes have a cameo and the art seems completely different. I don't know but it feels like those 3-5 page were done by a different artist and it was a very jarring page flip. I'll be back for at least a few more issues but no where near the top of the stack for me.
