Dallas Comic Con, anyone?

Post by Royal »

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone on the forum is in the great Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and/or planning on attending the Dallas Comic Con, May 17-19. http://www.scifiexpo.com/DCC/dcc2013.html I'll be there, although I just learned on Friday that I wasn't able to get a media credentials with The Comics Alternative. Damn them! Still, I plan on attending and will have my recorder with me, where I hope to generate some interesting interviews or conversations for the show.

I'm considering it but haven't decided yet. Part of it will depend if my sister wants to make the drive with me or not. I tend to get lost in the Dallas metroplex and she is more familiar with the area than am I.

If you go, John, be sure to let me know. We could finally meet in person, and that would be cool. Also, I'll have my portable recorder with me for the podcast, so I could include an "on the floor" brief conversation with you. While I live in the DFW area, I haven't been here long and am not like Google Maps, but if you want suggestions, just let me know.

If I go, I'll certainly let you know in advance.

Ha! It isn't about lack of transport, but simply a matter of the time I have available in a given year for this kind of thing. I burn all my chits every year on SDCC. Everything else is whatever I can get away to for an afternoon.
