You seem to be working towards completing some runs. I'm curious what your collecting goals are?
When I was a wee lad I was collecting the Classic X-Men comics. That was fun because you had to go to each comic shop and hope they had those elusive issues for the small amount of cash in my allowance-filled wallet. With reprints, eBay, and other sources it's almost anti-climactic to collect a lot of comics but looking for nice copies of older books like this seems like it would still be fun.

If you just want to read the stories, it's very easy, but even with the internet, it's challenging to find some books in the condition you want (not necessarily HIGH) for a price you want to pay.boshuda wrote:With reprints, eBay, and other sources it's almost anti-climactic to collect a lot of comics but looking for nice copies of older books like this seems like it would still be fun.
So, the thrill of the hunt still exists.

Yeah they are. This is my favorite era of Avengers, but it just kills me that I'm re-buying issues I had originally bought off the spinner or got through a subscription ( notice the subscription folds in two of them ? ). At least I'm getting a good deal on them.
An all around great guy.

Yeah, that don't bother me. My originals had them too since I was a subscriber at that time.

This kind of talk should not be tolerated. BOW DOWN TO THE MIGHTY FROG-MAN!!!Gilgabob wrote:ok, spider-man and frog-man?
Someone brought him back in a very cool way ... can't remember who it was, and certainly can't remember why I thought it was cool.
Sweet haul though, Trev
ETA - How much did that 9.0 set ya back?

Most of those MTU were pretty cheap -- $1-$4
The MTU #1 was a little more -- $167. I got it in last month's auction.
