CheapGraphicNovels.com (Long Beach, CA) is accepting pre-orders on the Jack Davis artist edition for $150. I have bought plenty of stuff from them (Absolutes, trades, hardcovers) but not any Artist Editions. They can ship at media rates for $5.99 flat rate so when I order I order a ton. I think I ordered all the Sandman Absolutes from them and it was still 6 bucks. They have other more secure forms of shipping but I have had good luck with them. They say the release date is March 13.

They are usually at the local cons out here. I will not be pre-ordering from them but still not sure if I am getting this one.

Yeah, but what run? I think they're talking about his issues from the early 200's, not the classic 232+ run. Still interesting but not as.

Any Byrne ae from pre 1989 I will definitely buy. Sad thing is no special edition that includes a sketch.

Since Trev didn't include a link, here it is for others:

Oh, it's happening! Since I am no big fan of my older work, the idea makes me cringe, but it's definitely happening.

I was asked about doing a "deluxe" edition, and I declined. If this is going to be out there, I want it accessible to everybody at the same cost. (I'm also not a fan of "special" versions of things that put them out of the reach of the general audience.)

I'm waiting to see the DCBS price. Living in CA I have to pay sales tax of ~$9 and then $6 of shipping so it would be $115 to me. DCBS has "free" shipping (not really, but since I get my comics from them & pay the shipping anything extyra like this has no additional shipping fee) plus no sales tax.

I'll be waiting to see what the special edition is, even without Byrne participation.

The DCBS price will probably $93.75.
