Issue 2 is out. We get some background on Nocturnus and his dead wife, plus the training and rebellion of Galahad. The lack of speech or thoughts in this issue made it feel very light on content. It was over almost immediately.

Hi Danscomics, thanks for the interest! I'd be interested on a quote for the whole run (inc a mini-series I believe?) in reasonable quality (this is a reading run, not a collection). I live in the uk so I need to factor in shipping too.

One thing I'm glad to see now is the wide variety of readers in the mass market. I think the sales there are much higher than we think. I sat in the sci-fi section of a bookshop today and many people browsed the trades section. The split was almost equal men to women, and all ages were represented. ...

I took a look at the first trade today. Not really my thing after all. But I'm glad I took the time to give it a try.

How I wish I had gone to the shop that Wednesday and bought a stack. #1 is going for £40 or more on eBay, #1-3 are going for £125. A graded 9.8 #1 just sold for £650!

Collecting Supreme

I'm wondering if anyone can give me a break-down on the best way to read the back issues of Supreme. I don't like starting on a series if I can't read every issue. I've heard bad things about a couple of trades, and some is uncollected if I'm not mistaken. I emailed Mile High Comics asking for a pri...

#1 sold out within an hour at my local shop in London. I managed to get a second printing copy, but I guess it isn't worth as much as a mint 1st printing.

I enjoyed the movie, but it did have a few issues for me (particularly surrounding Hulk's big scene in the middle of the movie and Banner's amount of control). And I still can't get over Loki riding around in the back of that jeep because his staff and costume were too big to fit inside! In terms of...

I loved Charismagic. Great art, great atmosphere and some laughs from Sparkles. Looking forward to that one-shot! Yep, the publishing schedule sucked though. I need to try the Executive Assistant series also. I had considered it a while back but got scared off by the Hit List Agenda solicits. Too ma...

It was an ok start. Yes, it was short, but being weekly rather than monthly I can forgive it being lower on content. It kinda had a 2000AD story length, which I think works well if you get the regular weekly update.

Classic-era Noir Comics

I'm a big fan of classic era noir/detective fiction and films, eg Chandler/Hammett. What comics are there that feature original content in the same style or are adaptations of works by genre authors/directors? I'm not looking for Sin City knock offs or modern crime stuff, but classic era stories, 19...

I'll give Halcyon a look. I took a look at The Boys, but it tends toward the Millar side of ultra-violence, so it's not really my thing.

Hi John/Bob,
My picks to talk about this month are:

Star Wars - Knight Errant:Deluge #1
Driver: Crossing the Line #1
Halcyon TP
Criminal: The Last of the Innocent #3

I'm recording my blurb on these now, unless anyone else has called dibs on them?

I am more interested in reading Flashpoint now, but hope that the characters as seen there are not the versions in the reboot. I'd prefer a few character updates and continuity reboot to a drastic character overhaul. I guess that a lot of DC titles are going to slump hard over the next couple of mon...
