Re: Need help with data cleaning
Sorry I missed this post a few weeks ago, but if you still need some help with this let me know. I see what you're trying to do in your example. I can't guarantee any set number of hours, but I can probably commit to a at least a few hours per week to crank through some of this.

Re: "All-in"?
I haven't been all-in for a while. With the new-52 I was all-in with DC and I enjoyed it quite a bit. However, there were a number of titles I didn't really care for so they got dropped. I also lack the time to read all of them plus the other books I would like to read. I tried to be all-in with Mar...

Re: LET'S TALK: DC 2.0
P.S. Just read the Batwing trade from the library. Yikes. I would like someone who is a fan to let me know what I am missing. They have a scene in the first issue, flashback, then we don't get back to that scene until issue 6. Does not seem like a good read for floppies. I was hoping when he mentio...

Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2013
This all sounds like a ton of hassle. Is San Diego, oops, sorry, International Comic Con really worth all this? Does it really provide that much more entertainment and/or information than a smaller con where you don't have to sign up for lotteries to get a hotel? Yes. The 150,000 people who put up ...

Re: Cover scale
Nope. I love Darkhawk. Not my favorite, but definitely top-tier for me. Darkhawk could be a GREAT movie! I even bought a piece of original art that features him, in the OA thread (I think I posted it there). Glad I'm not the only Darkhawk fan here. I've been patiently waiting for him to get a new s...

I thought, because it was coming out in April, that it was an April Fool's joke anyway.Gilgabob wrote:WTF?! DC reconsiders wisdom of placing controversial WTF imprint on April books.

Wait - so Darkhawk was in a book? Is it weird that Darkhawk is my favorite Marvel character? Nope. I love Darkhawk. Not my favorite, but definitely top-tier for me. Darkhawk could be a GREAT movie! Re: The Inkwell Awards & comic book inking....
It's one of those things where if the inker is only inking one penciller and/or the penciller is always inked by one person it's difficult to determine who is a good inker. I usually notice an inker is decent when they're replaced by a less skilled inker.

Re: Mayo Report
I suspect the long-term answer will lie somewhere in between. There will probably be a lower fee than we currently have (because - seriously $3.99 for a digital comic when print is cheaper and a digital movie or song is cheaper? Effin' crazy.), but some of the cost will be subsidized with ad revenu...

Re: 200 Issues of Gold Digger for $3.99
Of course it will take you and I about 40 years to read all of those issues, as comic reading time is not on our side  It will take me a long time as well, as I don't like to read comics on the computer sitting at my desk & don't have a big tablet with a nice screen. Do you have a large sc...

Re: Mayo Report
Sort of. I was thinking more along the lines of Television ads. When you watch reruns of I Love Lucy on TV Land the Lucky Strike commercials are replaced with Fat Loss pills or something. So even though I Love Lucy was created decades ago it's monetized to this day - but I don't cut a check to TV L...

Re: Mayo Report
I think digital comics could be given away and still make money. Because you could give away a copy of any comic with an 'ad page'. That ad page is updated regularly and provides the revenue every time that comic is read. So while a print comic gets the one-time ad revenue when the ad is placed, th...
