Re: DC's Strategy for Random Free Digital Comics

Thanks for the reply. I guess all good things must come to an end eventually. DC has the right and responsibility to cover costs and make money. They have been doing better job at keeping the monthly books lower than Marvel has I feel, so I have to give them some grace. However, the books I'm buying...

DC's Strategy for Random Free Digital Comics

Hi John & Sam... I've been seeing the price increase for seemingly random titles by a dollar from their $2.99 list price to $3.99. There doesn't seem to be more pages but offer a digital code for the comixology version of the comic. Are they 'training' us for a price increase? Are they starting ...

Re: Advice Requested: Reading Order Impact of DC shipping d

Well the wait is almost over... (I get my DCBS shipment tomorrow containing FE #7). Thanks ever so much for the advice and feedback. My list has expanded somewhat from the original list I posted earlier. I'll have a nice stack of books to get through this week and pretty excited to finish up the For...

Re: Advice Requested: Reading Order Impact of DC shipping d

Potential "Forever Evil" storyline dependency : Justice League #29 i'm a bit worried about this one-my brother said its the metal men again but this time they are more involved in crossover- so this one might be a good one to wait on Batman Eternal #1-safe Thanks Drew! Holding off on Just...

Re: Advice Requested: Reading Order Impact of DC shipping d

John.. I really appreciate your response. It appears you have the same perspective as I do about those books you called out. Also, thanks for the heads up on Batgirl #30 ... I'll hold off reading it until after Forever Evil #7. Maybe do the same with the Superboy #30 title. The solict's refer to a p...

Advice Requested: Reading Order Impact of DC shipping delay

Hey gang, I'm an oddball when I say that I'm enjoying the storylines that DC has been publishing. I'm REALLY doing my best to preserve the outcome of Forever Evil conclusion, along with the First Contact and Doomed storylines. I'm on news blackout (except to check the Shipping updates from Diamond)....

Re: So Long Bob and Thanks a Million

Hey Bob, I just wanted to take a minute and email a message to you of how much I enjoyed your contributions to Comicbook Page podcasts (and numerous other industry comic podcast appearances as well). I started collecting floppies after again after the Identity Crisis series. I enjoy a good mystery. ...

Re: One for the Next Mayo Report

Anyhow, I hope you both will speak to this in the next Mayo report. I'm learning a lot from the Mayo Report discussions. Not just about the sales numbers and percentages, but a little bit about the habits and mindset of comics readers. Fascinating stuff. I'll be listening for your take on this. BTW...

Man.. I'm glad you guys are so forgiving on the horrible grammar in my earlier posts. Hope it's not too offensive. I don't think the DC 2.0 relaunch will succeed solely on basis of sales to existing fans in comics shops & as such, you're likely never to see any success, if it has it, refl...

One for the Next Mayo Report

Hey John and Bob, I recently glanced at the July comic sales numbers at ICv2's site. I have to say I'm disappointed that DC has not seen the bump from retailer orders for Flashpoint event/new 52 DCnU announcements. After thinking about it a little, I'm speculating that it'll be a while before we'll ...

@Atomic99... I don't consider myself being troll-like or doing a 'drive-by' in my description of my experience with obtaining tickets. (I'll restrain myself from future posts.) It was a horrible experience - in my opinion. SDCC has it's legacy and comic-fan loyalty as insurance to withstand what cou...

No ComicCon Joy today

Did anyone actually get through to purchase San Diego tixs? TicketLeap is an epic fail from my end.
