Stopped at the LCS, the only LCS in Kenosha; Rockheads, and they had 'everything', if not most books possible I believe. Subscribers were allowed early entry and there was no limit to the variety of titles a person could pick from the number of samples available so I decided to expand my horizons an...

Gladstone's School for World Conquerors - Image I happily recommend this book for all ages. It's fun, truly. The art is lively and bright. The story has a nice wit that isn't too saccharine nor fluffy to create instant boredom. It ends with a bit of cliffhanger that makes me want to pick up the nex...

My pick is Image :!: They've got the Walking Dead. They've got Top Cow. I'm always excited to see what they've got in Previews each month. They run actual preview pages in the Previews catalog. They've been cranking out a lot of new #1's lately. The big reason one for me, they don't rely heavily on...

Is this simply because Marvel releases more titles on a monthly basis compared to DC (or anyone else for that matter)? Well, in March DC put out 85 items on the Top 300 to Marvel's 129 items. HOWEVER, if you add up JUST the top 85 for both you get: Marvel 2,666,385 units -> 85th item at rank 152 DC...

Is this simply because Marvel releases more titles on a monthly basis compared to DC (or anyone else for that matter)? It seems Marvel's business plan is to fill more shelf space hoping they will sell more variety compared to a select few titles. Sure, individual titles may not sell as well, but wit...

Who Is Jake Ellis #3 - Image This is a very enjoyable ride. The book has a quick pace, and the artwork is unobtrusive, meaning, it isn't so detailed that it slows the intended fast pace of the book. This is not a criticism, but a compliment. Each issue leaves wondering what will happen or where I wi...

From the back matter that I've read from Hickman, he likes the character and has a very sentimental attachment with it, so I am optimistic that we'll see more of the "Twilight Guardian" in the future. From a marketing standpoint, it makes sense that he maintains a mini-series arc in the fu...

I agree with Abysslord. I don't know how this book would work as an ongoing series. Certain plot points within the arc would have possibilities, but as an independent book, it worked well in this 4 issue mini series. It ended well. Not sure how Hickman could have finished this series otherwise, so h...

Though I don't live near a Borders, it is reminiscent of when a local chain of book stores closed in my area which was very surprising and extremely disheartening. This appears to be a sad trend.

Howdy, gang. Sort of skipped this step, so, oops. Anyways, my name is Rob, Vernson on the forums. I've been a very sporadic buyer of comics for most of teen and adult life, though I've always tried to follow the medium regardless of purchasing habits. Most recently I've started to pick up the books ...

The L'il Depressed Boy #1 (Image) – I'm not really sure why I liked this, it's not the kind of story I'm usually drawn to, but it was very charming. I tried it out on the web first, and that's what led me to the comic. This had all the "feeling" of a really well executed mini-comic for so...

New York Five #1 (Vertigo) – Great series, and not a genre I'm normally a big fan of (slice-of-life following 5 college girls sharing an apartment in NYC). But it has a lot of what I like about Brian Wood comics, really nicely developed characters and very real background that the story is set agai...

I'd like to see Strikeforce: Morituri collected. I have great memories of this series. It may have been one of the first series that grabbed and kept my attention that wasn't a cape and masks book.
