Re: One Piece is 80% done according to Eiichiro Oda?
I haven't read it, because of how many volumes there are. But, in Japan, if it's a huge seller, they'll keep it going as long as they can. It's a worldwide best seller as well. So, another 5 years or so.

Re: Pull List - Whatchya Readin This Week?
Some recently read comics/graphic novels. Recently read: Blammo #6 by Noah Van Sciver (Kilgore Books) - This is my first issue of Noah's comics work. I've read some of his graphic novels already. I like his humor. Some of it is a bit crude at times, but it's personal and honest. Similar to how a Cru...

Re: Pull List - Whatchya Readin This Week?
Alright, it's time for more current reads and all that. Here we go: Lonesome Go by Tim Lane (Fantagraphics) Memoirs of a Very Stable Genius by Shannon Wheeler (Image) I'm in the middle of both of these. Liking them a good bit. I will be putting up my Fantagraphics haul as current reads soon as well....

Recently read: I Killed Adolf Hitler by Jason - Great art and fun, twisty story. (Fantagraphics) Cartoon Clouds by Joseph Remnant - Really enjoyed this one, story is autobiographical in nature with three recently graduated art students. (Fantagraphics) those sound pretty good - on hoopla? Absolutel...

Re: Your MOUNT RUSHMORE of comic book WRITERS
This is tough for me, as it seems to change a good bit. 1. Geoff Johns (come on, I wouldn't have become a DC fan without him) 2. Terry Moore (SiP for the win) 3. Warren Ellis (yeah, the more and more I read of him, just yes) 4. Gerry Conway (love his work) Honestly, this list will change in the futu...

Sense a pattern?
Both titles are written by the great Evan Dorkin. Beasts of Burden is amazing.

Re: 4.99
Nick, It depends when it comes to major publishers and OGN's. I have a great fill of them and also some serial comics in the independent scene. I'd like to see more OGN's, but make sure they get to the bookstore market. That should be a priority. DC's young readers imprint comes to mind for some of ...

Re: 4.99
People must be insane to pay that much for a comic. I'll never pay that much for a comic. I'm pretty much only into reading trades and manga from the library, reading the occasional digital issue, or buying trades/HC's to keep. I'm just not into this current superhero game anymore. If an occasional ...

Re: Potential Manga to Sample
My manga reading has been going really well. I finished the 7 volumes of A Silent Voice, and it is pretty fantastic. I knew it would be. Very serious topics, coming of age, and all of the above. Highly recommended. I just picked up The Gods Lie which is one volume, and it is a romance manga. You may...
