Re: Big Wow! in San Jose, anyone?
I don't have a free comic to give away for FCBD (I'll be selling mine in two weeks at BIG WOW! in San Jose/Table AA140) BUT..... I will give you this free sample page of what to expect from ISHI: LAST OF THE YAHI. Happy FCBD! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h187/atomic998877/Artwork/web_rrwerner_f...

Big Wow! in San Jose, anyone?
Anyone going to the Big Wow! Comic Fest in San Jose on May 18th and 19th? They just locked in Stan Lee the other week but they have a fantastic array of artists at this con without the crush of SDCC. They are pumping up the cosplay aspect along with art demos by the talent. With Wonder Con lost to A...

Re: KICKSTARTER: What are you supporting?
I really don't have the funds to throw around on Kickstarter but, every now and then, something comes along where I have to break down and do it. One was a Brom artbook by Flesk. The other, also by Flesk, is The Art of Mark Schultz Kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/481703930/the-art-o...

Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2013
We'll see what you say after the show this year ... :) This is true. Never say never. And I always relent, don't I? I almost did Anaheim this year. The con hotel was affordable and next to the con. That would have been nice for a change since SDCC is all about rentals, motels far out, and parking n...

Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2013
Nothing for me. I tried at 9am and gave up about 30 minutes in when it looked like their server crashed. I tried several times but the closest I got was the map with no clickable lots. It seems like this "secret" is out and everyone knows about it. At least ACE has been giving updates and ...

Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2013
From Ace's FB page..... "We will be posting an update this Friday on when parking passes will go on sale! Should have all the details by then. Stay tuned!" Only a little over 400 likes on their page so, hopefully, not many people will jump on this when it goes live. Gentlemen, start your e...

I'm sorry to hear that, Bob. My thoughts are with you, your family, and mom.
It is a rough time but hospice is great during this time and can also proved grieving classes when the time comes.

Re: Wonder Con
When the SDCC folks bought Wonder Con ten years ago, they claimed they didn't want to turn it into another SDCC. But it is a SDCC-lite and they do follow the same patterns with Hollywood panels to bring in foot traffic. To be fair, when they first moved it from downtown Oakland to the Moscone center...

Re: World's Largest Private Comics Collection (for now).....
You could put the word out to the usual comic news sites to get some coverage. Maybe even on some of their "Comic Porn" features but then you do run the risk of getting someone with a potentially larger collection trying to break the record too.

Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2013
I have to add them on Twitter too.
Not that I ever check the Twitter thing. Social media is great for a lot of things in comics but a hell of a distraction when trying to make comics.
